Medical Clinic
In February of 2001, the church opened a Family Practice
medical clinic. The purpose of the clinic was to
provide limited healthcare to those persons in the
Manchester and Clay County area who have no health
insurance or medical card.
The Lord has blessed us with several doctors and nurses
who rotate their volunteer time on Saturdays. Christian
counselors are available. The office staff keeps
records and makes arrangements with local health
agencies who have agreed to help with some services as
they are able. Our local Christian hospital
participates with arranging care in special instances.
The clinic has approximately 1500 who call the clinic
their primary care provider.
We are located in one of the poorest counties in the U.
S. Approximately 50% of the working people in our
county have no health insurance. The clinic provides a
much needed service to the people in our local
community.
Dr. Paul Cooney is our medical director. Paul comes to
us from Tulsa where he was with "In His Image Clinic".
Our clinic manager is Linda Abner. Linda is responsible
for to staff the office and to see that it runs
smoothly. She also coordinates the finding of willing
specialists when patients require more than the clinic
is able to provide. We now have four Family Doctors who
rotate in the clinic plus nurses and a Nurse
Practitioner.
Our Clinic encourages healthy living and lifestyles to
all of our clients and members. Our church recently
finished a class taught by our own Dr. Dana Edwards on
Healthy Eating, Lifestyle, and Nutritional Supplement".
The results have been outstanding, church members who
have tried the supplements can hardly believe

We are always looking for those locally who are willing
to devote some time to putting something back into the
community. Right now we need some diagnostic machines
as well as some other equipment and supplies. If you
can help with any of these resources or you have

Patients are not required to pay for any services but
are asked to contribute if they can.
