So Simple, Even A Caveman Can Do It!
What’s the first bible verse you learned? For most people, it’s probably John 3:16. And why not? What other verse in The Holy Bible explains God’s love and plan for us so simply and so completely?
John 3:16 (New American Standard Bible)
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.
Who does God love? He loves the world. Thus, God loves you. God does not discriminate by sex, race, color, or creed. No matter how “checkered” your past maybe, God loves you.
How much does God love you? So much, that He gave the life of His only Son for you. God’s love for you is unconditional and unchanging.
What is God’s plan for you? That you might have eternal life.
What must you do in order to receive this eternal life? Simply believe and confess Jesus Christ as you Lord and Savior.
Romans 10:9-10 (New American Standard Bible)
9that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
10for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
Understanding God’s love and plan for you really is “so simple a caveman can do it”.
