Pastor Doug Abner and his wife, Linda

Doug Abner is the Senior Pastor of Community Church Ministries. Pastor Doug has served at Community Church for 18 years. Before beginning his ministry at Community, Doug served as Vice President of First State Bank in Manchester, as well as the Executive Director of Clay County Chamber of Commerce.
Pastor Doug loves to begin new projects and to see them to completion like the Community Church Outreach Clinic, Lifeline of East Kentucky, and numerous others. Pastor Doug has a desire to train people for the next generation to live out Kingdom Principles. He wants to provide apostolic oversight to churches and other ministries. He envsions denominational reconciliation and Community Transformation. In addition to his pastoral duties, Doug also serves as Chairman of Christians for a Drug Free Clay County, Executive Director of Lifeline, and Chairman of Visions of Eastern Kentucky.
There is a famous quote that says, "Behind every great man stands a great woman." In Doug's case, that woman is his wife, Linda. In addition to her duties as a pastor's wife, Linda is our Special Events Coordinator/Hospitality Director. She is also heading up "My Body -- His Temple", a ministry for the body, soul, and spirit, as well as various other programs. Doug and Linda have one daughter, Jennifer, and three grandchildren---Luke, Drew, and Cade. Jenn and her husband Paul Cooney, along with their three boys currently reside in Corbin, KY.
