wHat wE BeLiEvE

  • We Believe that God is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. He eternally exists in three personalities: the Father, the Son, & the Holy Spirit, commonly referred to as the Holy Trinity. These three are co-equal and are one God. (John 14:9-10; Matthew 28:19)

  • We Believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God and the sole and final authority of all matters and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 4:12)

  • We Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God and Savior of the world, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, buried, resurrected, ascended into heaven, and is now seated at the right hand of God the Father. (John 3:16; Matthew 1:18)

  • We Believe in the creation, test, and fall of man as recorded in Genesis. That man, created by God, willfully sinned, and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. (Genesis 3; Acts 4:12; Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:7;
         John 14:6)

  • We Believe salvation comes by grace through repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
         Salvation is a gift from God to man. Man can never obtain righteousness by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting           in Jesus Christ as God's offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin's penalty. (Romans 5:1; 6:23; Titus 3:5;
         Galatians 3:25; Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • We Believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion, and that in order to fulfill the command of the Lord Jesus Christ, all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
         (Matthew 3:13-17; 28:19; Acts 2:38; 19:3-5)

  • We Believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit as a real experience, in speaking with tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, and in the operation of the gifts of the spirit as manifested in the early church. We believe all of these are available to believers. (Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 10:44-46; 19:2-6; 1; 1 Corinthians 12:14)

  • We Believe in divine healing, through faith in the name of Jesus Christ. (Acts 4:30; Romans 8:11)

  • We Believe in observing the Lord's Supper, commonly referred to as Communion, for believers.
  (1 Corinthians 11:28-32; Matthew 26:26-28)

  • We Believe in the Christian's hope; the soon-coming, return of the Lord Jesus Christ. (John 14:2-3;
         1 Thessalonians 3:13-18)

  • We Believe in eternal life (Heaven) for believers and eternal punishment (Hell) for non-believers. We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil and that Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. (John 5: 24; 6:16;
(Mark 9:43-48)

  • We Believe in one unified church and that the church is the world-wide body of Christ. It is comprised of all believers of all nations and races, who have been united through the sacrifice of Jesus. God has also called these believers to be part of a local church family. (Matthew 16:18; Hebrews 10:25)
